Hi, I'm Lindsey. I started Guided Roots Counseling in 2023 as a way to provide accessible substance use counseling for folks who are looking to make a change in their substance use.  I have been working in the field of substance use treatment since 2017 in a variety of settings, from inpatient to school-based settings. In my free time I enjoy playing music, cooking, gardening, and hanging out with my cats.

I use a person-centered approach to counseling that puts emphasis on autonomy, strengths, and people's preferences while providing a non-judgemental, supportive space. I see substance use treatment as one that is holistic in nature, tying together lifestyle, personal beliefs, values, health, and motivations to help sustain recovery.

I take an active, collaborative role as your counselor, helping to guide you back to your roots of wholeness.
